Gómez Cruzado is awarded the Q for Tourism Quality

The seal informs about the prestige, differentiation and reliability of a tourist provider to travelers

21 of July of 2015

Haro, 21 July 2015.- The winery Gómez Cruzado in the Barrio de la Estación in Haro has received the ‘Q for tourism quality’ certificate, a seal of quality guarantee bestowed upon those products and services in the tourism sector with outstanding quality, reliability and professionalism. This certificate is granted by the Spanish Institute for Quality Tourism (ICTE) in order to promote and ensure the best tourism experiences possible.

The OCA Certification, a completely independent entity, conducted an external evaluation of Gómez Cruzado; and it was consequently awarded the "Q for tourism quality". The evaluation examined various aspects such as the quality of service provided during the guided tours of the winery. Haro's Gómez Cruzado is the sixth winery in Rioja to receive this certificate, and will now be included in the list of 24 Spanish wineries that boast this seal.

Prestige, distinction, reliability and rigor

The seal of quality "Q" highlights the prestige, distinction, reliability and rigor of certified establishments. As the ICTE explains, the certificate "Q for tourism quality" provides clients with a range of information: for example, a guarantee of quality products and services; the institution's active role in improving the business under review by conducting surveys to gather information; the utmost trust in the staff's professionalism; as well as assuring the customer in their choice of said establishment.

The ICTE also notes that for certified business, the "Q" can improve business administration, which is then reflected in the excellence of their products and therefore, boosts a company's competitive edge as well. And furthermore, this certificate motivates staff members to continue their professional training. It also translates into increased customer satisfaction by allowing businesses to further understand their customers' expectations. The certification process immerses an establishment in a process of on-going improvement and focuses the company’s team toward the common goal of quality in all its processes.

In addition to the "Q for tourism quality”, Gómez Cruzado has also received the TripAdvisor "Certificate of Excellence" in May 2015. This award recognizes the winery´s top-quality hospitality based on opinions submitted by travellers using this website, which is the most widely used travel website in the world. By way of these two certificates, Gómez Cruzado is commended for its wine tourism experiences that combine viticulture landscapes, history and culture, while attending to every last detail.
