Gómez Cruzado, official wine of Ezcaray Fest 2017

Haro, 18 July 2017.- GÓMEZ CRUZADO is the official wine of EZCARAY FEST 2017 (#EzcarayFest2017) held July 21st – 23rd in the town of Ezcaray (La Rioja, Spain). The festival’s headliners are the Cuban hip hop group Orishas and former Ramones drummer Marky Ramone, with a supporting cast including California band The Bellrays, Spanish group León Benavente, Basque bands Berri Txarrak and Belako, Riojan band Tobogán and Valencian group La Raíz.

These bands will play an array of rock, punk, funk, soul and hip hop during the festival. “EZCARAY FEST aims to become a destination in Northern Spain for cutting-edge music and cultural creativity with one the best festivals on the Spanish festival circuit”, explains Rock Trío (Promociones Musicales Iregua) the concert promoter behind EZCARAY FEST.

In addition to nighttime shows, free afternoon concerts will feature up and coming bands, at 1pm on Friday in Plaza de la Verdura and on Saturday at 1pm at the Quiosco Square. The festival kicks off on Friday with the pop rock electronic group Serendeep and rock band El Cuarto Verde. Saturday features British-style rock band Chelsea Boots with their 60s sound and look and the 1990s-influenced Riojan group Funny Roman Numbers. On Sunday the Rockolas will offer music, workshops, games and rock and roll for a family event at 12 noon.

GÓMEZ CRUZADO winemaker David González explains, “We are sponsoring EZCARAY FEST to show our commitment to culture - music and all other cultural activities. We identify with a festival that mixes styles, influences, and origins, where rock music plays a leading role but other genres add diversity”.

Tickets are available on Ticketea and Ticketmaster: €30 for a day pass and €49 for a weekend pass (plus ticketing fees). Camping is also available starting at €10/person. The camp grounds will be open from Thursday July 17th at 5pm to Sunday July 23rd at 1pm.

La Rioja’s regional government, Ezcaray's town hall, La Rioja’s tourism department and the Riojan Youth Institute (IRJ) are also sponsoring this festival. The IRJ is providing free bus transportation on Saturday. The bus will leave the Logroño bus station at 5:45pm, making stops in Nájera (6:15pm), Haro (6:45pm), and Santo Domingo de la Calzada (7:10pm). The bus will also make a return trip leaving Ezcaray at 3am.
