Gómez Cruzado is a century-old house located in Haro. Founded in 1886, today it is the boutique winery of el Barrio de la Estación. This team of young wine-makers is dedicated to the traditional Riojan style of fine wines.

The vineyards in Rioja Alta and Alavesa lie at the heart of our project, which are primarily old bush-trained vines rooted in the foremost terroirs of the designation of origin DOCa Rioja. Terminamos la serie hablando de la pregunta que más hemos escuchado desde que comenzó la ampliación: ¿cambiarán los vinos? Juan Bautista Sáenz responde desde la experiencia de quien sabe que cada vendimia es distinta. Las nuevas instalaciones no pretenden cambiar el estilo de Gómez Cruzado, sino ofrecer mejores herramientas para conocer más a fondo cada parcela, interpretar mejor cada añada y seguir aprendiendo. Porque, como recuerda nuestro director técnico, en enología nunca existen las recetas definitivas.
