Gómez Cruzado participates in Wine Education Week: the 50th anniversary of WSET celebrated across 45 countries

The biggest global consumer wine event ever held seeks encouraging people to learn more about wine

The GÓMEZ CRUZADO  winery located in Haro’s Barrio de la Estación will participate in the first-ever 'Wine Education Week', a week-long event designed to commemorate the Wine&Spirit Education Trust's 50th anniversary that will be celebrated from September 9th to 15th in 45 different countries. VINTAGE CLASS– an official WSET educational center – is organizing an educational yet easy-going varietals tasting on September 13th at 8:00 p.m. in the Riojan winery GÓMEZ CRUZADO. This tasting will include four red wines and four white wines to showcase the typicity of noble varieties from around the world. Designed for amateur wine lovers, this tasting will approach varieties, regions, and tasting notes in an educational manner allowing participants to explore the most prestigious wine-making areas.

This first edition of 'Wine Education Week' includes over 450 events, making it “the biggest global consumer wine event ever held” with the goal of encouraging people to learn more about wine. 'Wine Education Week' will begin on Monday, September 9th with pairing activities in 24 countries around the globe, from New Zealand to the United States, thereby creating a 24-hour continuous international tasting session. In the United Kingdom, the launch event in London will attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the largest master class lesson every taught by a sommelier. Launch events will also be held in Hong Kong, New York, Los Angeles and Vancouver, Canada.

The 'Wine Education Week' tasting at GÓMEZ CRUZADO will be hosted by VINTAGE CLASS -headed by Jeni Wilson- as part of the winery’s collaboration with this educational center. GÓMEZ CRUZADO has been hosting WSET courses since 2016.
